Purifiber Cellulose Filter MediaCellulose in powdered form is a fibrous carbohydrate and the principle structural material of plant cell walls. The material is obtained from wood pulp. Generically, powdered cellulose is approved by the U.S.F.D.A. with a GRAS classification: generally recognized as safe for use as a food additive. Powdered cellulose is found in high fiber breads, and used as functional ingredient in other food products such as cheese.Purifiber is a registered trademark of Purifiber LLC.
